Prof. Hamid Karimi

Dr Hamid Karimi is a Professor of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is certified by theAmerican National Board in both General Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Karimi has over 36years of experience, and over 20 years of experience in plastic and aesthetic surgery and over 10 years ofexperience in general surgery. He completed his medical degree in 1989 and his General Surgery degreein 1993 at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He became qualified in Plastic and ReconstructiveSurgery at Iran University of Medical Sciences and completed a Fellowship in Maxillofacial Surgery inParis, France. In his current position, he carries out a range of plastic and reconstructive surgeryprocedures, including: blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast implants, face lift,brow lift and chemical peel. He also has expertise in burn reconstruction and cleft lip & palatereconstruction. As a professor, he trains more than 12 fellows every year in plastic surgery. He is also amember of various academic journal editorial boards, including JAD Journal, and PRS-GO Journal. He haspublished over 70 scientific papers in his field of expertise in well recognized peer-reviewed journals. DrKarimi is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society ofAesthetic Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
